As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.
ilovemycars.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and its affiliated sites. This means that when you click certain links on this site and make a purchase, we may earn a commission — at no additional cost to you.
What this means for you
- Prices you pay are the same whether you use our links or go directly to the retailer — affiliate commissions come from the retailer’s marketing budget, not from you.
- Any tool, calculator, or article on this site that links to a product on Amazon or another retailer may be a paid link, meaning we may earn a commission if you purchase it.
- This applies to product recommendations shown within our calculators and selector tools, as well as links inside our articles.
How we choose what to recommend
Products shown in our tools and articles are selected based on research into what genuinely fits the topic at hand — we do not accept payment from brands to feature their products, and inclusion in our affiliate catalog is not for sale. That said, we only earn revenue from products we link to, so our overall business model depends on affiliate relationships, and you should factor that into how you weigh our recommendations.
Other affiliate programs
In addition to the Amazon Associates Program, we may participate in other affiliate or referral programs, including but not limited to programs related to auto financing, insurance, or other automotive and family products. Any such relationship will be covered by this same disclosure — we do not maintain a separate disclosure per program.
Why we’re telling you this
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requires that any material connection between a content creator and a company whose products they recommend be clearly and conspicuously disclosed. The Amazon Associates Operating Agreement independently requires the same. We believe transparency about how this site makes money helps you evaluate our content fairly, which is why this disclosure also appears in short form directly above product recommendations throughout the site, not just here.
